About Stephen

Stephen Kyle Nichols embraces the fusion of passion and talent while using them to serve the greater good. He lives by the scripture, “For whosoever among you shall be the first let him also be servant of all, for even Christ came not to be served, but to serve.” A dynamic personality in his own right, Stephen was a cast member on MTV’s ‘The Real World Denver’ where he became known for his direct approach coupled with his conservative political and lifestyle perspective. Here at Static, Stephen will dialog with Billy Hallowell about conservatism, race relations, diversity and a number of other political and social issues.

Stephen is a charmer who flies in the face of convention. Originally from Sacramento, California, Stephen is no stranger to the political scene. He holds a degree in classics and political science from Howard University in Washington, DC where he was a seasoned student leader, serving two terms as chairman of the College Republicans and as chief vice president of student association. Not able to live comfortably with the status quo, however, Stephen publicly endorsed Democratic Nominee, Barack Obama, at the MTV Awards in 2008.

Stephen can be quite outspoken. He’s extremely ambitious and loves to be the center of attention. He’s also an expert in persuasion and salesmanship. Always a new adventure, Stephen will be starring in a California production of the 1998 Tony Award winning musical, Ragtime. He currently works for a school district and resides in his hometown of Sacramento, California.
